TOLGA KASHIF Creative Director

Tolga KashifA world-renowned composer/producer/conductor described as the most diversely talented of his generation. Tolga has sold over one million albums worldwide through his work as composer/producer with high-profile artists such as Lesley Garrett, Vanessa Mae, Nigel Kennedy, and Queen. His critically acclaimed successes have been widespread, ranging from the BBC Children in Need 'Perfect Day' single to the innovative classical composition inspired by the catalogue of Queen. Brian May describes Kashif's 'Queen Symphony' as 'the work of someone with a unique view and a new dream'. That particular release, which premiered at the Royal Festival Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, sold several hundred thousand copies and toured a series of international territories including two sold-out nights at the Sydney Opera House. It was attended by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury's family, and showed the huge cross-audience potential for albums of this nature. This success triggered a similar collaboration with high-profile Korean artist Seo Tai-Ji. In 2008 Kashif premiered the 'Seo Tai-Ji Symphony' to an audience of 30,000 fans at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul. His work in sound-to-picture over the last 15 years has also resulted in a list of achievements and music placements in mainstream television such as "Where the Heart is" and BAFTA nominated film productions such as "The First Snow of Winter" and "The Criminal" - staring Eddie Izzard.

This diverse range of success has allowed Tolga to develop a deep understanding of the music business both as an artist and a businessman. Today more than ever this extensive level of industry knowledge is essential in order to remain successful in a sector which is changing so dramatically due to the technological advances that have impacted upon it. Tolga's insight into the importance of technology to the future of the music business is pivotal to the success of Lightsong. It enables the company to achieve a head-start over other similar music companies who have not yet fully accepted the changes that lie ahead.
